Do you like blue?

I actually do like blue. But those stools had to go.

When I started an orchestra in Ningbo University about ten years ago, I didn’t realize that the recital hall did not have enough chairs for all the performers. We found out at the dress rehearsal, when this photo was taken. The custodian was able to provide us with these bright, “smurf-blue” stools, but they were not going to be suitable for the concert.

After that, I never took chairs for granted again.

That’s why I am asking you to sponsor a “chair” for LCO. You can subsidize any of the seats in the orchestra.

Any chair that is sponsored gets the name of your choice included in every program - printed and virtual - for the entire season; plus it ensures the position for that particular musician throughout for all the concerts.

You can sponsor any chair in the orchestra, with your name, the name of a company, or you can memorialize it after someone. You can see how the first chairs are being shown in our website’s “Team” page!
