End-of-year Appeal!
The year is coming to an end, and the Lowell Chamber Orchestra has been giving since September of 2019 - free concerts, and much more! We have made Lowell an international hub for new music, and a place for everyone to listen to beloved standards of classical music. Our partnerships are geared to provide classical music access to everyone regardless of their socio-economic status, specially students in higher education. Just this year we have performed eight concert, plus one lecture-performance, providing almost a thousand people with free access to the best classical music, including four world premieres, six soloists, and the most beloved standards.
We are:
The first professional orchestra in Lowell, MA
The first - and only - orchestra in the country to be resident at a community college (Middlesex Community College)
The first ensemble to bring Lowell to the world stage, with two international competitions, that has brought contestants from Poland, Czechia, Canada, and Japan (to name a few countries).
The first Lowell orchestra to have two albums get radio airtime worldwide
